Christchurch Population
On September 4 2010 the population in Christchurch started to drop rapidly from 989,000 to 857,000 people and continues to drop because of the aftershocks that are striking Christchurch. I think that we need to donate as much money as we can, so we are able to increase the population again by fixing the broken buildings and allowing the Christchurch residents to come back and feel safe in their home town once again.
I don’t believe we are donating enough money, Do you? Personally I think a certain amount of money from everything we sell in New Zealand for three months should go towards fixing Christchurch’s main buildings and houses. Just think about it, if you lived in Christchurch would you want to stay stranded or would you prefer someone to donate you money so could live in your cosy house again.
Not only can New Zealand support Christchurch but people in other Countries could help as well if they had big companies such as: Movie World (Australia) and Disney Land (America). Although Christchurch has had an extreme amount of support already from other countries they could still do with a bit more money input, this would be a great way to help them with rebuilding and importing hospital equipment from cities further North of New Zealand. When you really put your mind to the test we remember that some people don’t want to stay in Christchurch though , so why can’t we give them a free flight out of Christchurch to Prices Valley, that way people wouldn't have to suffer the scary quakes that continue to hit? If we do earn enough money, do this!
Personally I think Christchurch is looking like a ghost town at the moment. This is happing because people are leaving broken homes, and they feel that the city is too dangerous because the buildings are not being fixed quick enough. If we could raise enough money to fix the most important parts of the city and peoples homes, Christchurch’s population would slowly start to increase again.

Reflection: I learnt how to write persuasive text about the Christchurch population droping. I enjoyed researching information to insert into my text.
